With about 20 songs underway, things are moving right along for the Corey Smith crew. The band has been hard at work in the Rialto Room this week recording for the newest album’s release. If there’s one thing we’ve caught on to while watching the process: these boys mean business. Smith’s professionalism lends some insight into why his performances have caught so much fire amongst fans. The days have been long, but not without the fruits of dedicated labor. From about 10am to 8pm you’ll see the “IN SESSION” sign illuminated above doors that open to the Rialto music labyrinth. Take a step inside, over amp chords, onto one of the many oriental rugs adorning the wooden floors, and you’ll be immersed into the world that Mr. Smith conducts with precision. Producer, Rick Beato, and Manager, Marty Winsch, have been avidly at work making sure that the passion project at hand proves to be a representation of their mission. As Marty puts it, “our ultimate goal is to find happiness in what we do while trying to utilize the purest methodologies (of production) without compromise.”
